This past Friday was Mother/ Daughter Day!!!!! It was so much fun, and I completely surprised my mom which is exactly what I wanted to do. She has had such a rough time lately since both of my Grandparents died, so I wanted to do something really special for her that would boost her spirits, she is not only my mom, but my best friend that I would do absolutely anything for. I also wanted to make it a point that at every new stop I would give her a different bible verse and a picture with loved ones to help her through her discouragement. God has played a huge part in my life in the past two years, and I have found so many answers through prayer and reading my bible, and I knew that God would lead me to the bible verses that would help her. I wanted her to know that everything was going to be okay, and knew this would be a good way to do it.
This morning we went and ate at our Friday morning Breakfast place (Stax’s Original), and before we got out of the car I handed her a picture of her and my dad when they went to Frankie's Fun Park and on the back was this:
Psalms 55:22: “ Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. ”
We ended up taking Logan to breakfast because mom was having withdrawals from him, and wanted to spend some quality time with her favorite grandson. lol which actually, worked out perfect because Christopher had a job interview at Pepsi **prayers for that please**Afterwards, we dropped Logan off and headed towards Woodruff Road… Mom had no clue where she was going! It was so fun to see her excitement and urge to find out where we were headed. I finally pulled up to Urban Nirvana and told her that for her first surprise of the day she will be getting an hour long massage from Hanna (who I recommend to everyone), but of course, before she got out of the car I gave her another picture, but this time of her and I from my wedding, the bible verse on the back was:
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Let me just go ahead and say, that I love Urban Nirvana! They have such a relaxing atmosphere and everyone there is just great! While my mom was back getting her massage I decided that I would try the Buff & Broze, which was incredible. They exfoliated my whole body, then I got into the shower and rinsed off, and afterwards she rubbed lotion all over my body that had a tint to it, so it was kind of like getting a spray tan/ but not really lol. It was so nice.
After our amazing time there, we left and had a small bite for lunch at Dukes Sandwhiches (YUM). The bible verse for our stop there was:
Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” The picture was of her and Logan from Easter.
We then headed off to our next surprise, where I took her to have a manicure and pedicure.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. The picture was of my mom and I back in the Summer I was pregnant.
We both had the deluxe pedicure and manicure, the only thing different was that it included the parrifin wax. We both did our nails a summer pink color and out we went to our next destination.
Next, we headed to Artistic Cutters where we saw Cynthia. who did our eyebrows. We both have bushy eyebrows so it was time for us to have them done.
After finishing there we realized that it was time for her to leave and pick my sister up from school and I needed to get back home to Logan, so that ended our Mother/Daughter day, but I left her with a picture of her and Logan at the beach and this bible verse.
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
We had such a wonderful time, and it was so nice spending time together like we use to before things got so hectic. She is definitely someone I look up to, and I most definitely hope that I can be half the mom that she was to me.
(Thank you to my wonderful friend Lesa, who let me borrow her camera over the weekend)

18 Months/Prince
So the other day Christopher brought to my attention that this blog is mostly about Logan and not about our family. He said that I need to change the name to "Living with Logan" lol. Now, I know that I talk a lot about Logan, but I can’t help it! He is my world. I did promise Christopher though that I would try to make it more of all of us than just him. So I will just have two different paragraphs, one for Logan and one for everything else that’s going on! Ha-ha
Logan: As of today my precious little one is 18 months old… that’s 6 Months away from being 2 years old. I just can’t believe it. (I really need to get started on planning his birthday party he-he-he) He has grown up so much in the past 18 months, and he has also gone through a lot as well. Between having allergic reactions to shots, losing a lot of weight from just not wanting to eat, getting tubes put in his ears, and now this stupid staff infection in his ears, but he always seems to put on a Smile and make everyone laugh! I honestly don’t know what I would do without him. Some days...well, A LOT of days I miss being a stay at home mom, and I worry about what he is doing when im not there, or wonder if he ever just misses me, but then when I go to pick him up after a long day and see this huge smile on his face while he is running towards me, I couldn’t ask for anything more! Being a stay-at- home mom is great, and for those of you who can do it and afford it, that’s wonderful! Unfortunately, we are not at a point in our lives where we can afford for me to stay home, but honestly, now that he has been in daycare and has made so many friends I don’t know if he would even want to be taken out.
Logan, after a rough day at the Infectious Disease Doctor.
Logan putting together his Mickey Mouse Puzzle.
Our Family: So guess who will be at the Prince concert tonight, and getting paid for it! ME, ME, ME, ME, ME lol I will be working the Lemonade stand tonight with my wonderful cousin-in-law Jenn! I am so excited, not to mention it will be extra money that I can put towards my mom’s surprise this coming Friday (more on that later). Also, Christopher has applied for two more jobs! One at Pepsi, and one at Coke. Honestly, any job right now would be great, but if we were able to choose I would totally pick Pepsi. I am most definitely not a Coke girl, but like I said any kind of job would be great! Although, I will say that he has been working his butt off at Stax’s and we do have money coming in, that’s really all a girl can ask for. Only thing that is hurting us is the benefits. I don’t get any because I am part-time and obviously he doesn’t have any either. So we just keep hoping and praying for good health.
Prayer Requests:
-My Mom will be going through my Grandparents house this week, and I know that its going to be really hard week for her. Please pray that God will give her the strength to make it through.
-Also, plese pray that Logan's ears will heal. They look and smell horrible, and I just pray that none of this effects his hearing!

Streptococcus pneumoniae & MRCA
This morning we took Logan to the Infectious Disease doctor (who was wonderful) she took her time looking at his ears and talking to Christopher and I both about everything, and after much pushing & screaming (from Logan of course) we sat down and she told us that he his left ear is inflamed and has a lot of puss and infection in it (which explains the horrible smell). She called it Streptococcus pneumoniae which is "thankfully" the most common cause of bacteria in adults, children and even dogs. They changed his medicine again for the 2nd time this week and order a blood test. Taking the blood tests was not fun. I unfortunately had to leave and go back to work, so wasn’t able to stay for my poor baby boy during this dreadful time, but my wonderful husband did the dirty work for me. He called and told me that they had to draw 5 vials of blood (EEK!!!) and that Logan cried the whole time but then again who wouldn’t!! After drawing the blood we talked to the doctor yet again and she proceeded to tell us that if this didn’t go away or if we couldn’t find the problem to what is going on that he will be on house arrest for 8 weeks, which means…no daycare, no church nursery, and no McDonalds play area (which we never go to anyways), but thankfully we aren’t there right now. Logan would be absolutely miserable.
Well I got back to work, and then around 3 pm I received a phone call from the ENT office and they tell me that they just received the culture back from when he came in on Monday and they found MRCA which is a horrible staff infection that is really hard to get rid of, that unfortunately my Grandmother ended up dying from.
Yeah, talk about FREAKING out!! I was also told that we will need to pull him out of day care for a couple of weeks until this cleans up. Not sure where he will go as of right now, but this just hurts my heart. He is such a social little boy, and enjoys spending time and playing with his friends, and I hate that he won’t be able to be around that for a while. She did say that if we wanted to, that we could take him to the park to play with friends since it is an outside setting, but still….
So for all of you that have been praying for us, please keep praying!! This is such a hard thing to hear, especially when it is about your kid. It’s hard to see them suffering and in pain. I know that God will take care of us and whatever his will is, will be!

Spring Cleaning
Let me just say that I am so excited that Spring is finally here!! The birds are chirping, it's actually warm enough to wear skirts and dresses, and everyone is out walking downtown or at the park with their kids, but it also means that Spring Cleaning is nearing and I have been freaking out because our place is a total disaster, between Logan’s toys, Christopher’s softball gear, and all of the clothes and shoes I recently inherited from my wonderful friend Jessica there is stuff everywhere, and we are most definitely not organized what so ever. So while looking through some of my friend’s blogs this morning I found a wonderful blog that has tips to help you get organized and stay organized. Not to mention they are having a Spring Cleaning Event! Woo Hoo! So check it out and hopefully this will help some of you with your Spring Cleaning as well.

He's Growing Up to Fast!
It just seems like yesterday when we were driving to the hospital at 5:00 in the morning expecting to have our precious baby boy, and then just 13 1/2 hours later he arrived. We have gone through so much together in the past 18 months, and it just seems that it all has all flown by. Well, this I am unbelievable proud of... Logan is finally at the stage where he is repeating most of everything back to me. He already knows what a lot of things are, and his vocabulary consists of: Mommy, Daddy, Papa, NaNa, Mo-Mo (for Aunt Morgs), Car, Binky, Milk, Stop, Shh!, Yuck, Tigers, Mickey, Bubbles, Bath, and Books, as well a lot of animals and the sounds that they make, BUT recently he really surprised me when I came home from work one day. Christopher had called for me to come in the living room so that they could show me something, i knew that they had been playing ball, so I wasnt really sure what all he needed to show me, but when I walked in Logan was actually catching the ball!! Now to most this might seem like a small little task, but we have been so worried about him not having small motor skills because of my little sister having Autism, so it was awesome to see him doing this! He was so proud and had to show it off to our friends Todd & Jessica when they came over that night. I myself was also proud and have been telling everyone that I can.
In other Logan news, he went back to the ENT yesterday to check on when he had his tubes put in. Well, we found out that he still has some really bad bacteria in his ears, that doesnt seem to be going away with the antibiotics they have given him, so they are sending him to an Infectious Disease Doctor this coming Thursday to see what the deal is. They also put him on a really strong antibiotic and said that it would probably mess with his tummy, So prayers would be awesome!
You know, I never really thought I would, but this blogging thing is starting to get addicting! Its nice to actually "vent" and type everything out. Not that people are reading, but its just actually nice to get everything out!

Home from the Beach
So the beach was awesome. The weather was incredible and I of course got to lay out, but unfortunately didnt get any sun :( Logan enjoyed his vacation away. He was such a perfect toddler on the way down and back. Can you imagine a 17 month old on a 5 hour drive to the beach...yeah i was dreading it, but he did awesome!! You should have been there to see his reaction to the ocean, he was amazed! But not so happy when we got down to the sand. He completely FREAKED out. I dont know if it was the way the sand felt between his toes or what it was, but needless to say I ended up having to carry him the whole time whenever we went down to the beach! Also, while we were down at the beach Logan learned how to go under water. Which he isnt supposed to do because he just had tubes put in! I tried so hard to keep him from going under, but he LOVED doing it! I eventually went out and had to get him some ear plugs. He also learned the word "STOP" which he learned to say whenever one of us was doing something he didnt want to do! It was cute at first, but now he seems to say it whenever he feels the need to.
I unfortunately left my camera at the beach :( seeing as though i cant find it anywhere, and have no pictures to show...except for the one I took on my phone Saturday morning when I woke up at 7 am (thanks to my precious baby boy)
The Beautiful Sunrise
I wish that I could see this view every morning! Maybe one day I will hit the jack pot and be able to afford a beach house, and of course the private jet to fly down there in, because the 5 hour drive is total torture! haha
Well i guess that this is it for the night, Im still up watching "coming home", which is one of my new favorite shows. I am always balling by the end of it lol

These are a Few of My Favorite Things
So I recently had to go and get all new facial wash and etc. because the stuff I was using just stoped working. Need less to say i normally read a friend of mine's blog and she mentionped that she recently started using The Body Shop's Products and loved them. After much research, I just happened to be in the mall and stopped in. Everyone there was so nice, and helpful! I ended up buying the Seaweed line, which is for Dry/Combination Skin,it smells so clean and I absolutely LOVE it!!
Here is the Facial Wash
And the Toner
And the Moisturzer (Which has SPF) :)
I also got this scrub to clean off access and blackheads. I love it because it smells so good, and has tea tree oil in it. Which i Love!
Thanks Cassie for recommending this!!

Logan & Horses
So i seem to be one of the last people to actually start blogging, and let me just say that I am so excited! There is so much going on in our family and I cant wait to share it all with our family and friends!
This Past Weekend, we took Logan to the horse farm for the first time. At first I thought he would be scared, but of course he yet again surprised me, and LOVED them! Wanting to get in there with them, pet them, and of course ride them, but he is still too small! Hopefully it will be something he grows up loving...even though i must admit, I am not so fond of them.
He is going to end up being my little Cowboy!
It amazes me everyday at how much he has grown!! Time seems to just be flying by!
